Common diseases that attack Cannabis
Growing cannabis outdoors means your plants are susceptible to a wide-variety of molds and fungi, some of which can cause serious harm to your marijuana plants. Here I list the most common diseases that affect cannabis, including Powdery Mildew, Fusarium Wilt and Botrytis.
Powdery Mildew (PM)
First showing up as a white powder on your cannabis leaves, Powdery Mildew is easily treatable with homemade solutions or organic sprays available cheaply online or at Home Depot. See my page on How to get rid of Powdery Mildew on Cannabis.
Botrytis (Budrot)
Budrot is the second worst cannabis disease to encounter next to Fusarium. The good news is you can take steps to prevent Botrytis and limit its spread if you act quickly. Most of those steps have already been mentioned, but I revisit them on the Why are my Cannabis Buds turning Gray? page.
Fusarium Wilt. The Black Death.
Fusarium Wilt is the moment of truth for your cannabis plant. She's going to die prematurely, and soon. The question is whether you'll be able to harvest any of her buds before that happens. I wish I could tell you everything will be alright but I'd be lying if I did. Turn off the lights, put on a Morrissey album and grab your tissues because nothing on the Is this Fusarium Wilt? page is going to make you happy.
